Beehive is an emporium of home and lifestyle goods. We try hard to create a modern mix of textiles and homewares which you wouldn't see elsewhere. We go out of our way to search for unusual finds- we combine old and new, local and global. 

Beehive is a warm and colourful store in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, where we are open most of the time (Sundays and Mondays in Jan and Feb are quiet so we close then to go buying!) We also sell a selection of our stuff online - we deliver locally and can ship all over the place . Some of the more unusual, vintage or one off pieces are not online. 

We are really proud of our handmade products from talented local makers in the community. We find that people are willing to spend a little extra on something that has been handmade and locally made. To date we have 9 local makers with 4 of these living and working in studios in Chipping Norton. Some of our potters were trained at the excellent and nearby Whichford Pottery before becoming self employed. 

Our community is broad and rich and we aim to support it as much as possible -  we have valuable links with local schools and charities . 4 of our 6 employees live in town and walk to work.

We try to go about our (small) business as sustainably as possible using recycled packaging and the cheapest and most thoughtful couriers. What could possibly be better than REPURPOSING ? Many of our cushions are repurposed from old and vintage and sometimes antique curtains and fabric, picked up as roll ends and remnants. You won't find cheap synthetic fibres in Beehive because we believe that natural fibres are best. We love wool, cotton and sheepskin. We use feathers in our cushions- never foam. 

We aim to hand pick suppliers with ethical values or Bcorp status. We love working with fair trade companies - and buy goods from our friends at these Fair trade and Social Enterprise outfits:-
